I was getting Willa ready for bed last night, and I noticed that she had orange spots on her shirt. I asked her if she had eaten some oranges at school. She said, "Yeah. I don't like the oranges... wif the peels."
I said, "You know, Daddy and Eve don't like the oranges with the peels either. That's why Mommy buys the mandarin oranges that don't have peels."
Willa thought about this for a moment, then said, "Man-drin oranges. Oh, THANK you!"
I'm not sure if she was thanking me for buying mandarin oranges, or for giving her the word for the oranges she likes. But I'm glad she appreciates it (whichever one it is).
